Fastax was the brain child of Jim and Phyllis George.  Jim  had the desire to offer taxpayers a comfortable, friendly and professional option for their income tax needs.  He and his wife set out to accomplish their dream in a small 600 square foot office in New Bern, North Carolina.  Their client base quickly out grew the capacity of their small space.  So they took the leap of faith and moved to a larger location. This address is still the location of the home office today.

The business officially opened it’s doors in 1989.  The organization has since grown to offer 16 locations in the North and South Carolina regions.

In the late 90’s Jim and Phyllis began handing the reigns of their business over to their two daughters, Marche’ and Gayle George.  They are the current heads of the Fastax organization.

The proclamation of Fastax is to be “Your Professional Income Tax Choice”.  We strive to deliver that promise by retaining a professional, well educated staff in all locations. Our preparers are required to continually repeat and increase their knowledge of the Internal Revenue Tax Code.  We employ many avenues to keep up to date of tax regulations, including but not limited to third party seminars, in house training and direct education opportunities offered by the Internal Revenue Service and state agencies.

When you walk into a Fastax office you will be greeted by a friendly, familiar face.  Most of our locations retain the office staff from year to year.  Many of us have provided service to multiple generations.  It is our pleasure to get to know your family, watch them grow and then offer the same professional relationship into their adult life.
